1997 BMW 328i Touring.
The BMW E36 platform was only available in a coupe, sedan, and convertible in the US. The “Touring” station-wagon variant has recently become eligible for importation under the 25-year rule. This Touring is a great little driver, showing only 113k miles, the M52B28 engine has loads of life remaining! This is a UK-spec car, with right-hand-drive, power windows with auto up/down, power mirrors, auto climate control, leather upholstery, and optioned without the sunroof. A/C is factory equipped, but currently inoperable. The interior is in good shape (8/10), showing normal fade to some of the leather trimmings, and cracks in the burl wood accents. Some corrosion is visible on the body work, and underside showing normal corrosion for the age. Some previous repairs were made to the common corrosion-prone spots on the chassis. There is a 2″ tow-bar installed, however the plug will need to be adapted from the European to the US-style wiring. An aftermarket CD player was installed, and is functioning as designed, but is due for a modern update. Overall, a very practical and affordable, unique import!
